Registration for the 2024-2025 River Falls Youth Boys Basketball Association is officially open. You may use the below link to access the registration page.

Please be thorough/precise in completing all the information. The information should represent the GRADE YOUR CHILD WILL BE ENTERING THIS FALL. Please include emails of all parents/guardians you would like future basketball communications sent to. (We cannot add email contacts later.)

We are always looking for coaches!! Every year we need to reach out to parents after the registration deadline, as we are typically short on coaches. Please consider helping out the program by serving as a volunteer coach!

We have strict deadlines for registration so please do not delay. We cannot guarantee there will be space on our teams after these dates. Please see registration deadlines below.

6th-8th Grade Boys: Aug 23 (traveling)

(**Mandatory Evaluations for 6th-8th grades for team placement will take place in mid-October. 6th, 7th & 8th grade teams will be divided up based on skill level.)

5th Grade Boys: Aug 23 (traveling). 5th grade teams will be split evenly.

3rd-4th Grade Boys: Oct 11 (Mini NBA: 3rd grade games will be half court 3 on 3. NEW: 4th grade games will be full court 4 on 4.)

1st-2nd Grade Boys: Oct 11 (Saturday morning Skills in Nov-Dec)

**Please note: 7th-8th grade also has a school ball program which is a separate program from our association. School ball is a basketball program run through MMS/RFSD.

July 2, 2024 - The School District of River Falls is proud to announce the hiring of Zach Turpin to serve as the next Head Coach of the Wildcat boys basketball program.

Zach grew up in Spooner, WI where he played football, basketball, and participated in track and field. Following high school he went on to Mesabi Range Community and Technical college in Virginia, MN where he played two years of varsity football and one year of varsity basketball. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Concordia College University in Moorhead, MN where he also played 2 years of varsity football.

Prior to joining the River Falls School District, Zach taught math for 15 years at St. Croix Central High School. During that time, he was also an assistant varsity football coach and coached basketball; 7 years of which he spent as the varsity boys basketball head coach.

Zach has spent the past 5 years as a high school math teacher at River Falls High School. During this time, he has served as an assistant football and assistant basketball coach to the high school programs.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead the boys basketball program at River Falls. I have always been impressed by the positive climate, culture, and community support provided by River Falls. I get to work with an incredible staff and amazing students on a daily basis. It has been a privilege to work with Coach Campbell these past 5 years in the boys basketball program. I look forward to continuing my work in a new role! Go Wildcats!"

The Wildcats pull away in the second half to defeat Wausau East and advance to the WIAA Division 2 Sectional Finals.

The Wildcats capture only their second Regional Championship in the last 12 years as they defeat New Richmond.
