Due to planned summer construction at River Falls High School, the annual camp dates offered by RFHS coach Zac Campbell have been pushed back to July.  Boys entering 5th-9th grade will start the week of July 8th, while boys entering 3rd-4th grade will have their opportunity to attend camp during the week of July 15th.

The primary goal of these camps is to enthuse each camper about the game of basketball through skill work, camaraderie, and competition.  Details can be found below:

Legendary WBCA Hall of Fame Coach Forrest Larson will bring his highly-respected Take It To The Rim Camp to Rice Lake High School on July 8-9.  The camp is open to boys entering 6th-12th grade.  Several River Falls High School varsity players have attended this camp in the past, and you will go home with numerous drills that will help enhance your personal summer improvement plan.  Details, including a registration form, can be found below:

Breakthrough Basketball offers multi-day basketball camps for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels.  There are over 300 camps throughout the nation, including 18 in Wisconsin.  For further information, check out their website at

River Falls Youth Boys Basketball is hosting our 9th annual golf outing on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Kilkarney Golf Club.  Money raised from this event will be used for tournament entry fees, uniforms, basketballs, high school program support, our summer skills program, scholarships, etc.  This is our ONLY fundraiser of the year, so please consider supporting our youth boys basketball players by playing, sponsoring, or donating.  Details can be found below:

River Falls basketball programs have teamed up with St Croix Central basketball programs and will be co-hosting a weekend of Otter Basketball Camps.  Jason Otter is one of the best basketball trainers in the country and will be making his way to Hammond, WI on the weekend of June 1st and 2nd to provide training opportunities to our programs.  Jason is a very intense trainer and there will be no wasted time during these sessions.  If your son is serious about improving his game Jason will provide the tools necessary to lay the foundation to a summer of improvement.  If this is of interest to your family, I encourage you to talk with your son about taking these tools and applying them throughout the summer as simply attending a session or two of camp will not make a difference.  However, the tools given are a great tool to lay foundations for summer workouts.

These camps are currently only open to River Falls and St Croix Central players but, will be opening up to the public if they do not fill.  If your son is serious about improving his basketball skills, please sign up soon so you do not miss your opportunity to learn from one of the best trainers in the country.

Camps (grade in school for the 19-20 school year)

Each camp builds off of each other.  If this is your first experience with Otter Camps middle school and high school boys should attend the day camp first.  If you wish to do more than one camp this weekend that is doable with the schedule.  The shooting camp is not physically demanding so this can be coupled with the day camp if you so wish.  The progression of the camps would be Day Camp, Shooting Camp, followed by Explosive Guard Camp.  We do not want someone going straight to the Explosive Guard Camp if they haven't done the others first as they will be lost and not get out of the camp what they should.

The Basic Training camp is for beginner level players, 2nd-5th grade.  It’s a great camp for young players.  It is more drill oriented and not as much detail on movement mechanics as the One Day Camp.  Still disciplined and structured, but not quite as intense.  4 Hour Camp, $75 per player.

The One Day Camp is a camp that teaches all of the Efficiency of Movement pieces.  Every camp in our program builds off of this one.  This camp is open to younger serious players (around 5th grade) through 12th grade.  5 Hour Camp, $85 per player.

The Shooting Camp is open to 6th grade and up. This will teach shooting with efficiency and consistency.  Breaking the shot down and building it back up.  This camp is not physically demanding, but a lot of mental focus on the details of the shot.  5 Hour Camp, $150 per player.

The Explosive Guard camp is one of our more advanced camps.  It is recommended that players go through the Day Camp and Shooting Camp before coming into this one.  Ages 7th grade and up.  5 Hour Camp, $150 each.

Camp details can be found below:
